A Disappearing Movement

    A Disappearing Movement is a social engaged art project collaborated with Chinese artist Deng Yufeng in Dec. 2020. The whole movement is divided into three phases: Investigate the surveillance on Happiness Avenue(GE Jingyi & Deng yufeng); draft the route and participants’ movements; execute on Happiness Avenue(Deng yufeng & GE Jingyi).

    As the capital of China, Beijing has the most strong surveillance system all over the world. The movement gathered 10 people in various backgrounds in Beijing to escape from the surveillance on Happiness Avenue, Bejing, and they are supposed to perform several movements prepared by the artists to escape successfully. They will disappeare from Happiness Avenue.

    It can be describe as a generative performance, as participators are randomly gathered; and artists are not intend to criticize, but leave the performance to the audience and let them to comment on it.
